If your club or team would be interested in participating in the 2022 Mt. Gilead Homecoming parade, please contact Melissa Cassidy at mcassidy@mgschools.org for an application. . It will need to be emailed or returned by Monday, September 26.

We are playing Centerburg for homecoming this year. The theme is "Send Away Centerburg." 

Line-up at 5:30 at the fairgrounds, parade begins at 6:00.

 

The 2022 Mount Gilead Homecoming parade kicks off Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 6:00 from
the Morrow County Fairgrounds. The route will take the parade North on Main Street, around the monument and then West onto Park Avenue. The parade will conclude at the high school and will be followed by the Junior/Senior Powder Puff game and a bonfire.

All organizations, clubs, teams, or groups who want to participate in the parade must adhere to the following guidelines:
1. School dress code must be followed by anyone participating in the parade.
2. Each entry must have an adult supervisor with them at all times.
3. All drivers must hold a valid driver’s license.
4. No candy can be thrown from floats or vehicles. Anyone walking in the parade may pass
candy out to spectators.
5. No political or religious entries.
6. All participants must have their float at the fairgrounds by 5:30 pm.

Tri-Rivers Career Center is hosting its first Annual 2022 Transition Night for individuals with disabilities and their families, Thursday, Sept. 29, 5:30-7:30pm at the Career Center. The event, which is FREE and open to the public, will feature more than 47 representatives with informational booths focusing on Vocational, Educational and Independent Living resources. 

“We had an amazing response from area agencies, educational institutions, businesses, employment services and independent living advocates,” said Jamie Bando, Tri-Rivers Vocational Special Education Coordinator. “There will be so much information and guidance providing at this event. It is truly a gathering of tremendous resources all in one place. We hope families will take advantage of it.”

Bando said there will be two breakout sessions that evening covering important topics. At 6pm Lars Olsen from Alluvial Private Wealth will present on the topics of Guardianship, Social Security, and Estate Planning. A 6:30pm Jen Montag, from Marion Technical College, will discuss Accommodations in College (Disability Services). 

The more booths participants visit, the more chances they get to win amazing door prizes—a Spa Experience at TRCC’s Total Reflections Salon, a Picnic Table Built by TRCC’s Construction Trades, Season Pass to “Butch Bando’s Fantasy of Lights,” a Diaper Bag of Goodies, a Car Wash-n-Wax by TRCC’s Auto Tech, a Wooden Bench by TRCC’s Construction Trades, a Lavender Plant from TRCC’s C.E.I., an OSU Gift Basket, a MTC Gift Basket, additional Gifts Cards, and More!!!
