Welcome back to the 2020-2021 school year at MGHS. We are looking forward to an interesting year, but one which I am excited to get started face to face!  Whether we're remote learning, teaching in our classrooms, or scheduled for hybrid learning, there's one thing we can count on. This school year will be filled with uncertainty...

First let me emphasize that our district has taken great strides to place health and safety first and foremost. The installation of thermal cameras, safety dividers, staggered dismissals, mandated masks, social distancing, hand washing/sanitizing, smaller class sizes, and multiple other building procedures, have been well thought out and put into place in order to maintain a sound educational setting for our students and staff.

So, how can we prepare for a "bumpy ride"? Experts say it's an ideal time to teach and display resilience and flexibility. Learning to roll with the punches is a life lesson that will get us all through the days ahead. Some things may be different, but the one thing that remains constant is that we are proud to deliver a quality education to our students and also proud that you have placed your trust in our district! Together we can do this!

As the school year is quickly approaching, I want to encourage your continued communication with us. We will be using multiple communication tools which, website, email, classlink, PowerSchool, etc. Please be sure that we have correct contact information in order to continue open lines of communication. Let us know if you have questions, concerns, or compliments!

Again, I am happy to begin another year at MGHS and to serve our students, our parents, and our community. Let's work together as we prepare our students for the future!

Yours in education,

Deb Clauss
