Principal's Message

Chris Kamenski
Elementary Principal

Welcome to the Park Avenue Elementary School website. We at Park Avenue Elementary strive to provide highly effective, engaging, and differentiated education to every student.

Park Avenue Elementary students are expected to grow socially, emotionally, and intellectually. As our students progress through the grade levels they are expected to take on more and more of the responsibility for their own learning. We believe that this sets the foundation for our students to go on and become excellent middle, high school, and college students, and eventually productive, responsible citizens in what has become a globalized world economy. The world that our students are growing up in is fundamentally different than what we knew as children. Because of the rapid evolution of technology we are beginning to know a world that truly has no borders. It is for this world that we strive to prepare our students.

Many of the jobs and careers that our children will hold as adults have not been thought of, much less invented. A world like that will require us to teach students how to be great analytical thinkers and problem solvers. This generation will need to collaborate with each other on a level that was unimaginable just a few years ago.

With this understanding we set out to begin building that type of student through highly effective targeted instruction. While we commit to giving everything we have to this task, we know that it cannot be done alone. You have all heard the saying, "It takes a village to raise a child." This is more true now than it has ever been. Parent and community involvement in our schools is vital to our childrens' success. Please come in regularly. Communicate with your child’s teacher often. And please always seek out ways that you can get involved in the classroom or the school as a whole. We welcome you, and we need you.

We look forward to working with you and your children.

If you ever have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact either your child’s teachers or you can reach me through email at and on the telephone at (419)-946-5736.
